Written by the award-winning poet and comedienne Liz Bentley, dubbed ‘a female Ivor Cutler’ by The Scotsman

 

Performed by Joanna Swain.  Recently seen in BBC2’s White Girl, a television and stage performer, Joanna has also appeared in feature films The Full Monty, Control and Brassed Off.  She was recently nominated for Best Solo Performer in The Stage Acting Excellence Awards

 

Joanna’s performance is directed by Rebecca Hannah, who has assisted on the direction of productions at theatres including the Shaw in London, the Crucible in Sheffield and the Belgrade in Coventry

 

With video by media artist and writer Nicola Field, the founder of Steam Control, and Dan Thurley, a cameraman, editor and DVD author who specialises in working in the not-for-profit sector

 

An original soundscape has been composed by Stuart Bowditch of experimental sound project Hybernation
